Our annual sponsored event will be taking place on Saturday 2nd June from 10am-12pm. The children will be challenged to complete as many circuits of the obstacle course as possible. Please help to support the Nursery by asking friends and family to sponsor your child. A sponsorship form will be sent home towards the end of Term 5.
Hot and cold drinks and a selection of cakes will be available to buy on the day. All sponsorship money will go towards the improvement of the Nursery garden. If every family collected £15 sponsorship money, we would raise over £600!
We look forward to welcoming you to what is always one of the most enjoyable events in the Nursery calendar!
The Nursery will be visiting Drusilla’s for a day of animal fun. We have arranged an Animal Encounters educational session for the children. This is a fantastic day out for the children, and we hope they can all make it along.
Date: Wednesday 13th June
Travel: By coach, departing from the Nursery at 9am and arriving back at Nursery at approximately 3:15pm.
Cost: £30 for one adult and one child, including coach travel and entry to Drusillas. This is a saving of £9.90 on the regular entrance fee.
Refreshments: Children should bring a packed lunch, although food is available to buy at Drusillas.
Clothing: Comfortable footwear, waterproof jacket (if the weather is poor) sun hat and sun cream (if the weather is hot). There is a splash pad area at the park, so you may wish to bring swimwear and a towel.
Completed reply slips and payment should be returned to the Nursery by Friday 25th May.
We have limited spaces on the coach, so places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate younger siblings on the coach, as we have to give priority to nursery children. Parents are responsible for their own children for the duration of the visit.
Please note that the Nursery will not be open on Wednesday 13th June, as all staff will be accompanying the children on the trip.
Get your team together and pit your wits against Sam's fiendish (or not!) quiz questions. Bar, dinner, a raffle and prizes for the winner and runners-up. It's the social event of the year!
Tickets are £10 per person (includes sausage and chips dinner - vegetarian option available). Cash bar available. Maximum team size is 6 people.
Food served at 7:30pm, quiz begins at 8pm.
All proceeds will go towards the redevelopment of the Nursery's outside area.
Celebrate the coming of spring at our Easter Eggstravaganza! All the children and their parents/carers are invited to come to the nursery at 1:30pm for an Easter egg hunt. There will also be an Easter bonnet competition, Easter-themed activities and a raffle. It's going to be chocolate-egg-tastic!
We are asking for a £2 donation per child, to go towards our fundraising goal. This year, all money raised at events like this will go towards a major redevelopment of the outdoor area.
***Please note, the morning and lunch sessions will run as normal. However, if your child usually comes for the afternoon session on a Thursday then they will need to arrive at 1:30pm instead of 12:30pm.
Please note that, due to our Nursery Christmas party, the last day of term is not a normal nursery session. All children are invited to attend the party from 10am, and the nursery day will end at 1pm.
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas holiday, and we'll see you in the New Year!
It's party time at the nursery, and all the children are invited! There will be festive games, party food and a special guest to entertain the children. We will be asking for donations of food closer to the time, however the nursery will be covering the cost of the entertainer as our gift to the children.
Please note, there will be no normal nursery session today. All children are invited to come along to the nursery at 10am (even if they would not usually attend on a Wednesday) to enjoy the party; we kindly request that parents come to collect their children at 1pm.
We will be celebrating Christmas with our Nativity play, which will be held in St Mary's Church. Come along and be charmed by the children's festive performance. We will be taking photographs of the children in their costumes beforehand and during the performance; prints can then be purchased for a lovely Christmas keepsake - all proceeds go towards the nursery's fundraising total.
After the play, we will be providing refreshments at the church. We will also be drawing the Raffle, so make sure you bring your tickets along!
Please come along to our Parent's Open Evening - learn about what we do at the nursery, take a look at our facilities and discover our plans for the future.
Interested in getting more involved with the running of the nursery? Want to help with fundraising? Considering joining our Committee? Then stay for our AGM after the Open Evening. All welcome!
